HELLO! I'm getting back on track with weekly writing posts since we're settling back into our routine back home after vacation. I wanted to share some wedding planning updates with just my patrons because we've been progressing with all those things since meeting with our wedding planner & caterer when we were home in VA. When we met them, we surveyed the land where we're having the ceremony & reception. My caterer (her name is Sus) decided where she'll set up the catering tent with enough distance from the reception tent to be "tucked away," but still walkable for her team. My planner is an icon (her name is Katie) & she asked a lot of great questions about where we'll be putting restroom trailers, bars, where we'll be entering, etc. We workshopped both our wedding menu & renaissance faire rehearsal dinner menu with Sus & are currently just waiting for our updated pricing proposal. Sus said she can provide the rentals as well (tent, dance floor, tables, etc.) so we're also waiting to see the final pricing with all that included. On my end, I'm trying to find & interview photographers/videographers for our wedding day... It has been a struggle LOL. The pricing for those services is INSANE & I'm just trying to find someone who works into our budget because those things are very important to me to be able to share with my online audience. I also realized recently that we are about 7 months out from our wedding date & I haven't sent out save the dates! Someone told me to do it at 8 months so I'm like SHIT! But my planner hasn't said anything about it? If you've had a wedding, comment below when you sent out save the dates! Currently, I'm also still trying to decide if I want to do separate bachelorette & bachelor parties or if we want to do a big co-ed one. LMK your thoughts on that below as well! I'm kinda leaning towards co-ed because our parties are pretty random & I want everyone to get to know each other. Separately, I still need to find our FREAKING BAND! We both want a super lively bluegrass vibe or a jazzy vibe, but I still need to narrow down my options. Also still need to find a florist... Things are really adding up lmfao. This post has brought me panic but it shouldn't because I have a full service planner & everything will be beautiful & fine. BLARG!
