YouTube Age-Restricting Content (Patreon)

HI GUYS! For my writing post this week, I wanted to update you on something I discovered yesterday & I also wanted to vent... LOL. SO! Yesterday I uploaded a foggy fort sesh to my $5 & $10 tiers. I use YouTube as a host platform to distribute content to you guys on here by uploading unlisted videos to my vlog channel then just putting the links here. I do this because the other option is using Vimeo & I'm pretty sure I have to pay to upload there (LAME)! I've never had issues with using YouTube as a hosting platform until yesterday when I got some comments on the fort sesh saying that the video wasn't available for playback on Patreon & you had to go watch it through YouTube but ONLY if you were logged into an 18+ account. I filed an appeal so they would take off age-restriction on that sesh because I wasn't putting it public on YouTube & explained it's for my paying patrons & they denied my appeal & sent me the following email:

"We reviewed your content carefully, and have confirmed that it violates our Community Guidelines. We know this is probably disappointing news, but it's our job to make sure that YouTube is a safe place for all.

How this affects your channel

We will continue to age-restrict your content as we don't think it's suitable for younger audiences. This means it will not be visible to users who are logged out, are under 18 years of age, or have Restricted Mode enabled. It also won't be eligible for ads."

SO... As you can imagine I'm pissed off. I don't know if they'll continue to age-restrict my content in the future, but if they do, I will either have to upload to another channel on there & hope for the best or I'll have to start uploading on Vimeo. I just wanted to update you guys on here & let you know this is happening. I'm constantly disappointed in YouTube's undeniable censorship of weed content & it PISSES. ME. OFF. Let's all just hope that Biden will make weed federally legal & that YouTube will take that as a sign to stop attacking weed creators for using a fucking plant.
