So far Anime doesn't look that great in 3D motions, and on the other hand, using 3D models to take still images can never look as good as 2D artworks. 

I think this style here is the sweet spot where 2D meets 3D, and with the help of AI, I hope soon we can perfectly combine 2D artworks and 3D motions together.
