Hello everyone!

Hope you all are doing well today~ Wow, we're already halfway through March where has the time gone! But then again time is a human construct and does not exist in the natural world along with the concepts of the past and future. So, there's that too.

Moving on! I've got lotsa fun rewards to share with you this month! As previously mentioned, $10 patrons will have postcards sent out at the end of this month. :D To access the goodies, just download the attached .zip file (I think it's at the bottom of the post now? Patreon is always changing the layout around...), unzip that shiz, and you're done! All ready for browsing!

This month marked an interesting turning point for me as well as my art (I feel like I say this every month...I just think about things a lot!). I was really struggling with the direction that my art was heading. I felt like I was creating things that I didn't truly care about (not that you have to absolutely LOVE everything you make) and in turn felt disappointed after spending hours on something just to find that I...really didn't care for it. I know, kill your darlings and whatnot, but the problem was deeper than that. It was as if I was purposely straying away from making what I really wanted to make as a way to stay within my comfort zone, which was the most upsetting thing really.

So! I've made a promise to myself to only make things that I'm truly interested in! No more wasting time drawing unenthusiastically just to find that I don't like the finished product. In fact, I found this quote this week that really helped me. It goes:

"Do one small thing to make today better than yesterday."

And that's it. I really like this quote because it doesn't ask too much of you, which I think is part of what makes change daunting. But one small thing? I can do that. And I can do that the next day and the next day and so on and so forth. And so can you! If you've been in a tough spot recently, maybe these words can help you if even a little bit.

So yes! Thank you all so much for believing in me, I am dedicating myself to making art that I truly care about and hopefully that passion is translated to you. ALSO we reached our first mileston goal! I am...utterly grateful and immensely proud of you all. I've got gifts planned for everyone as a way to say thank you (I'm thinking speed paints and sketch requests, how does that sound?) :D. I'll make an official post tomorrow addressed to everyone, but wanted to take this moment to say a special thank you to you all. Your support inspires me to make better, to do better, and to be better.

Love,

Vicki
