Hello everyone!

As promised, today I am sharing with you a tutorial! On what you may ask? Why thank you for asking young child who just happened to be passing by, it's a cell-shading tutorial woohooooo! The process I'm about to show you is the same that I used for ALL the Overwatch ladies I recently posted as well as how I cell-shade in general. There aren't many steps, so hopefully it'll be easy to follow. Without further ado, let's get right into it! :D

Yay you made it to the end! Hope that helped you in some way, any way. As you can see, the number of steps is rather limited, but I spend quite a bit of time making sure each step meets my standards before I proceed to the next. Let me know what you think about this tutorial, I'd love to hear your feedback good or bad!

And if you've made it THIS far just this week I was offered a single freelance job with Blizzard for Overwatch! Of course I took it (I almost screamed when I saw the email in my inbox) and I've already started drafting the piece. Unfortunately I can't post any WIPs since it is going to be used as promotional artwork on social media, but I wanted to share the news with you all first! Keep an eye out for it on the Overwatch Twitter this month and know that you heard about it here first! ;D I'm so excited and will definitely be sharing some BTS details with you all once the art goes live!

Much love,

Vicki<3

I like how you acknowledge that you go over your lines a lot of times before it looks right. A lot of tutorials leave that out and make young artists think they have to get everything right on the first try!

Very nice and honest depiction of what it takes to build a good illustration. Thanks as always, Vicki!

Ohhohoho yeah TONS of times (to the point where I feel like I'm losing my mind Dx) Everything takes a lot of trial and error for sure, the finished product is never 100% representative of the work it took!
