How are you doing? I hope you had a lovely weekend and that your week is starting strong! I used the weekend to relax and recharge and am excited to share I'm starting this week with fresh and fun ideas. *u* I'm continuing to demand more from myself, both in my creative life and my personal life, and even if it's tricky in the moment I always reap the benefits in the long run. Life is all about learning and I want to do as much of that as possible while I have the opportunity. ^^

So kitty D.Va is now a thing and I love the skin, I think it's so cute! TuT Here's my first interpretation on the concept...I wanted to draw something that felt more badass and less overtly cute. It's weird seeing her with blonde hair, she looks like a completely different person haha. 

Speaking of comfort zones, this piece did away with mine really quickly. It's no secret that I'm not a vehicle aficionado, but I seriously couldn't get the idea of D.Va on a motorcycle out of my head so??? I had to do it???

A golden Wonder Woman! I wanted to change up her breastplate and try something more opulent. 

As the title suggests I wanted to tackle less familiar subject matter last week. Surprisingly, it wasn't as painful as I thought it would be. In fact, I rather enjoyed the process of problem-solving and learning how to better approach landscapes. I learned that a big part of drawing landscapes requires you to think simply and break down general shapes and lighting from an image. I still have a lot to learn that's for sure, but I genuinely look forward to practicing more. :D  

Working on landscapes was surprisingly calming...I can see myself making this a weekly habit.
