EDIT Patreon rolled back the fees! WOOHOO! :D (Patreon)

Hello there! ⊂((・▽・))⊃

Hope your day is going well! Today's post isn't as peppy as normal but I think it's important to discuss. As you may already know Patreon sent out an email today talking about new fees that they'll be implementing on all new pledges made starting Dec 18. The fee is $0.35 + 2% so for example if you're currently pledging $1 your next payment on January 1 would be $1.37. 

I'm making this post today because I want to know how you feel about this change. Personally, I don't like it because 1) I don't want you to have to pay any extra fees and 2) Patreon boasts that creators get more when in actuality we earn less while patrons have to pay more. 

If you'd like to continue supporting me on a different platform, I've recently created a ko-fi account! There are no extra fees so you don't have to worry about paying more than you choose to give. There's no pressure to contribute, I just wanted to have the option available for those who are interested. ^^       

If you choose to cancel your pledge I completely understand and I greatly thank you for the support that you've shared on this platform. I really think we've achieved some amazing goals and projects together and I'm sincerely grateful for your time! <3           

Now I want to get your feedback on the situation! 

1) Should I keep my Patreon going or shut down my account?

2) If we decide to shut down where should we move to instead? I've considered ko-fi for the time being since it doesn't have any fees, but there's no content delivery system since its main purpose is to 'tip' creators. Someone else suggested Gumroad, which I'm currently considering and will depend on how many of you are interested in making the move.
