❤ NOVEMBER POSTCARD ❤// underwater galaxy (Patreon)

Hope your day is going well so far~ As the holidays draw closer and closer my excitement for the season only grows. However, I find myself in a frenzy of deadlines that all seemed to pile up simultaneously. Nonetheless, I'm just trying to take it on one task at a time and avoid any unnecessary stress. ^^ 

Schedule aside, I've finished the postcard for November and I want to share it with you! I originally had something entirely different planned (a collage of mushrooms...) but I decided to draw what I really wanted to draw which turned out to be colorful and bio-luminescent jellyfish. :D Full disclosure I had a lot of fun working on this piece. I got a chance to work with some of my favorite colors and got an opportunity to draw jellyfish for the first time. If you ever get a chance to really look at jellyfish I think you'll find that they are quite beautiful. Everything about them is so delicate and I love their translucence and cascading tendrils. Their structure actually reminds me of haute couture dresses that have long trains and a mass of delicate ruffles. 

See what I mean? Isn't that cool? :D I love how fashion and art draw inspiration from nature and catching the parallels is always fun.
