♡ WEEKLY SKETCHDUMP ♡// a week of ups and downs~ (Patreon)

Hope you're all having a lovely day so far~ ^^ Last week was characterized by both good and bad art moments. There were days where everything clicked and flew out no problem. Other days were filled with a lot of head-scratching, long pauses, and erasing. I try not to take it too harshly though, we can only have good art days because bad ones exist, both are part of the journey and equally important. :)

That being said let's go through the sketches! :D

Above: Did you see the new Overwatch animated short that came out last week? It stars the adorable Mei and tells her backstory. I fell in love with her thanks to the short and had to draw her in some casual outfits. She seems like a person who loves cute and comfortable clothing for day to day so I gave that a shot. 

I loooove veils. I've started practicing how to draw them because I think they're incredibly beautiful and make anybody look a bit more mysterious and elegant. I think it's one of the main reasons why I love Indian wedding clothing so much. The decoration and detail they put into the veils is simply breathtaking, I could observe them forever. *u*

Some misc. busts and an attempt at Garnet. I'm still figuring out how I want to draw her, especially her hair. I know it's very square in the cartoon but something about a softer more fluffy look is really calling to me...

Plant babies! I don't think I'll ever stop drawing plants.

One of the bad art days. I had no idea what to draw so went back to the basics and practiced drawing hands. It turned out to be just what I needed. *o*

And there you have it! I hope you like these sketches~ And if you're struggling with art right now, remember to go easy on yourself and to keep trying. Bad days and blocks are inevitable, sometimes the best you can do is take a break and then try again and that's okay! Chin up loves~ <3
