(speedpaint) 💜 painting with purples (Patreon)

y'all really like the last painting I posted, so I thought I'd share the speedpaint! I used a hard round brush to lay down the sketch and flats, gouache maxpack brushes to add dimension, and the hard round again to blend colors and paint in details.

this painting process is very intuitive/fun for me and one I've used for a long time. when I want to paint something quickly and convey a feeling this is how I like to paint. based on your responses, it seems like you guys noticed a difference too, as if the emotions were transferred through the painting. so cool! it's a good reminder for me to openly express my feelings through art instead of getting overly caught up in technical details or skill. as with all things in life, it's about finding a balance. 💖
