Gustavius

Even after receiving punishment for the same action already, A rank elders from your force have again attacked a contestant of the Universal Tournament!

Removal of all System Privileges for all current and former true members of Sunrise Valley extended from 429,981,696 years to 61,917,364,224 years.

Bounties on all members of Sunrise Valley tripled.

All subordinate forces of Sunrise Valley now subjected to Sunrise Valley’s original punishment.

Gustavius son of Primordius, the Lord of Twilight Flame, was incredibly angry.

First, the overpowered little brat should have been Bellessia’s problem, not his, but their father was still angry at him for that whole burning several empires out of existence thing, even after seven hundred billion years, so the responsibility fell to him.

Second, he didn’t like having his hand forced.

The dragon brat had been doing something with his eyes to mess with the emotions of the lightning boy, leading Bellessia’s idiot son to make that final attack even after Bellessia’s overpowered brat told him to stop. Then, given Bellessia’s overpowered brat was the dragon’s master and could surrender in his stead, Bellessia’s lightning boy lost his System protection, allowing the overpowered brat to kill him with no repercussions.

This then led the lightning boy’s father, who Gustavius was planning on using to attack the overpowered brat after a little more observation, to attack early of his own accord, and, after the A rank halfwit was killed, Gustavius had no choice but to test the overpowered brat more, resulting in even more losses.

Finally, third, and probably most important, Bellessia’s overpowered brat was unprecedentedly talented, to the point he surpassed Gustavius’s own strength from back when he was a C rank by an utterly ridiculous amount, and this had Gustavius scared, an emotion he hadn’t felt in a very, very long time.

They’d already known the boy would have the Monster Emperor racial ability, doubling the max stats his race would allow, and they’d already known he’d have the Emperor uniqueness along with a skill to allow him to always be in his own Territory so that uniqueness could buff his stats by a factor of six.

By the nine hells, they’d even known he’d have the Soul Lord Prince Battle Armor and Power of Order racial abilities.

They just hadn’t known he’d somehow gain another ability, likely through one of his seemingly four classes, to somehow decrease his soul burden from high stat effectiveness by a remarkable amount.

Soul Lord Prince Battle Armor increased the value of all base stats other than Soul by 33% of a soul lord’s effective Soul stat, and it was overpowered, the prime ability of one of the universe’s strongest types of monsters for a reason, but it normally had a limit. For every soul lord Gustavius had ever heard of, no matter how powerful their Soul stat, their soul armor could not increase their other stats by more than a factor of 4.

This was a self protective feature of the racial ability to keep soul lords from killing themselves with their own power.

The overpowered brat, however, seemed to have a much higher limit, his soul armor increasing his other base stats by a factor of 16.

Now, normally, this wouldn’t matter much, as having a high enough Soul stat to increase the other base stats by such a large amount was nearly impossible. Even with soul lords heavily favoring the Soul stat, they would need a Soul stat effectiveness of more than +2600% after maximizing their stats, an utterly ridiculous amount, but the overpowered brat had the Power of Order racial ability and 36 order category Laws all within a single grade of each other.

The Empyrean grade version of the Power of Order racial ability increased the effectiveness of all stats by 6.25% for each grade of every order category Law of a cultivator within three grades of the cultivator’s highest Law, i.e. an increase of 100% for every peak grade Law Scarab and an increase of 106.25% for every early grade Law Dragon so long as the cultivator didn’t have any high grade Law Dragons. For someone like the overpowered brat, who somehow had 16 early grade Law Dragons and 20 peak grade Law Scarabs, this added up to an increase of +3,700%, and many of his stats were obviously boosted even higher from other abilities.

Multiplied all together, the overpowered brat’s effective base stats other than Soul were all higher than 61,917,364,224, with the brat’s Magic and Spirit stats nearing 123,834,728,448.

These were extreme values even for an A rank, let alone someone at C rank.

Add this to how the boy’s Laws were ridiculously high, how his skills were all boosted enough to be more effective than Divine grade, and how his core of power seemed to raise the quality of his energy up to B rank, allowing him to make use of the multiple Divine grade artifacts he owned, and the overpowered brat was an absolute monstrosity.

Were he to make it to B rank and maximize his power, Gustavius himself likely wouldn’t be his match.

Still, it was absolutely idiotic for the overpowered brat to show up in person in front of four gods who wanted him dead, especially when showing off power which made Gustavius himself consider risking the System’s wrath just to kill him, so there had to be a trap of some kind.

Gustavius just couldn’t figure out what it was.

“You piece of shit god!”

As Gustavius was trying to decide what to do, the wasted illusionist somehow entered the courtyard where he and his siblings had been watching the fights up above, and no one had stopped the now powerless failure from approaching him and yelling in his face.

“How dare you destroy my future! How dare you—”

The man stopped yelling as Gustavius released just a little of his power to burn the idiot to death.

And then Gustavius learned what the trap had been.

The System didn’t take injuries into account when seeding contestants, so the illusionist wasn’t at the bottom, still having yet to lose for a second time and still having System protections.

Were he actually part of Sunrise Valley, there would be no problems, the leader of a force able to kill a member at any time, but if he wasn’t, well…

You, a god, and the leader of Sunrise Valley, have murdered a contestant of the C rank Universal Tournament!

Removal of all System Privileges for all current and former true members of Sunrise Valley is now permanent.

Bounties on all members of Sunrise Valley quadrupled.

You, a god, and an elder of the Primordial Humans, have murdered a contestant of the C rank Universal Tournament!

Removal of all System Privileges for all current and former true members of the Primordial Humans for the next 61,917,364,224 years.

The bounty on you has quadrupled.

Bounties on all other members of the Primordial Humans established.

The illusionist, who’d grown up in Sunrise Valley, had somehow either turned traitor and joined a different force or been replaced by someone who’d never been a true member of Sunrise Valley to begin with, yet Gustavius had never realized. And, while everyone was distracted by the overpowered brat in the sky waiting for the Law Master’s response, the almost certainly intentionally crippled illusionist had passed through all security to approach Gustavius to curse him out, something Gustavius would always react to with deadly force.

“Well, damn.”

Feeling even angrier than before, and not having much more to personally lose given how high his bounty already was, Gustavius launched himself into the sky before his siblings could stop him, immediately approaching the overpowered brat. Then his power formed a flaming black and white phoenix which followed his arm as he tried to punch the brat through the heart.

“Thank you for being an idiot, uncle.” The overpowered brat smiled at him as a shield made of the Divine Laws of Time and Space appeared around him, completely blocking Gustavius’s attack with ease. “Mila was right when she said we should target you. You are the easiest to fool of my family members.”

Gustavius looked down slightly and noticed a book had appeared in the overpowered brat’s left hand, gray and covered in green lines of runic script, and he also noticed an almost identical book in the hands of the Alchemist of the Deep Woods, a similar defensive magic around her as well.

These were 2 of the 108 puzzle books of Camoran the Spirit Smith, the very puzzle books his sister had been after in the first place when she hadn’t killed the overpowered brat as a baby, and it seemed the boy had just finished solving the last puzzle in the book in his hand, enabling all 108 books to activate and bring anyone of B rank or below to a special demiplane to compete for the Spirit Smith’s inheritance.

Gustavius wasn’t sure what would happen when an A rank like the Alchemist of the Deep Woods activated a book, but the overpowered brat before him likely was.

“As the current leader of the United Federation of Planets, I am invoking rule 283 of the C rank Universal Tournament for all members of my force other than myself.” The overpowered brat continued smiling at Gustavius as nearly 24% of the contestants in the tournament finals disappeared, teleported away by the System to protect them from being attacked as well, including every single member still competing in the tournament. “Then I relinquish my position as temporary leader and return it back to my wife.”

The puzzle book of Camoran the Spirit Smith finished its activation and the overpowered brat, along with the Alchemist of the Deep Woods, disappeared, leaving Gustavius both extremely angry and extremely confused.

Krysta La’Vordi being part of the United Federation of Planets he could understand. She’d likely accepted a blood oath with one of the overpowered brat’s fake artifacts. But Sword Priestess Milan was the future high priestess of the elven goddess of war and dance. Unlike most in the tournament, she had a divine class.

There was no way she could join a different force without the express permission of her goddess.

Still, the overpowered brat wasn’t as smart as he thought he was. The Primordial Humans were strong, so, even with bounties on all of their members, no one was going to attack them. Most were too weak to risk taking such a chance, and those that weren’t were fully aware what would happen if the Primordial Humans, the first line of defense against the undead and the demons, had to shift their focus to internal fights.

Even the loss of System privileges didn’t mean much as it was overwritten by the fact the Primordial Humans were always in wartime mode due to the undead’s constant attacks.

Sure, their subordinates were screwed, and their power might weaken for a while, but even short term there wouldn’t be much damage.

Meanwhile, the overpowered brat teleporting so many marked individuals had exposed a still open temporary entrance to his universe, a flaw the Primordial Humans were definitely going to use.

Man I'd love a Primmy interlude where he get's the message his son has permanently locked them out of system priveledges (which I assume is a much bigger deal than Gus thinks it is) and he face-palms in exasperation and then blue-screens with rage

Finally the system does something.. doesn't feel like enough tho. Unless your bounty getting quadrupled also grants any bounty hunters a buff when facing you
