Author Corner: 11-06-2022 (Patreon)

So, I'm in the mode of building up enough chapters in my own backlog so I can continue to work on To Kill a Fox and Eat God, thus only one chapter of Shadow of the Soul King today.

But chapter 200 next week will be the end of this arc and after that we will have a timeskip followed by a couple chapters of setting up the characters as they are  before starting the universal auction and the terrible events that follow from that.

As for writing, chapter 199 has been one of the most challenging chapters of Shadow of the Soul King to write as it deals with both emotions, how to deal with trauma, and how to handle a Deuteragonist who is a mass, mass murderer.

I like what I finally decided on, but it took me a while to realize just how therapeutic the Id state, even with all its horribleness, could be. And I spent so much time on the chapter as a result.

P.S. With 200 chapters of this story done, probably representing 3-5 books, I think now is the time to start thinking about editing old chapters more seriously than I have been.
