for 800+ years, Celesse has been pregnant, and it wont be changed any time soon. On rare occasions the proto-shoggoth that inhabits her can make itself known. More often than not, it appears on Celesses skin as a type of biological armor and weapon. Certain RARE occasions, it can leave Celesses body completely, though for only a short time. It must remain connected to Celesse for they have a symbiotic relationship, and now need one another to survive.
