As we sit writing this blog Veterans Day is right around the corner. It’s a big day for Jason and for all the Veterans in your life. We encourage you to be especially kind to Vets this month. THE MARVELS is also about to be in cinemas all over the world which will feature multiple Service Members and Veterans. This is your not-so-subtle reminder that Jason has a chapter specifically on CAROL DANVERS as CAPTAIN MARVEL in his book, SUPER SOLDIERS!

Geek History Lesson has had a big couple weeks! Not only did we knock out KRAVEN THE HUNTER (with show notes by Research Assistant Diego Anthony Nuñez), but we released a bonus episode last week - an interview between Jason and the voice of Peter Parker in SPIDER-MAN 2 PS5, YURI LOWENTHAL! This week the Marvel Comics train continues with PHOTON! If you’re curious about what is coming up in future don’t sleep on our Sneak Peek Post from last week - it even includes a tease of an upcoming get. In addition to everything from that post Jason and Ashley are also hard at work on this year’s DOCTOR STRANGE HOLIDAY SPECIAL. Geek History Lesson Extra is getting into a lot of adaptation theories & reactions. We’ve had a lot of fun delving deeper into topics we can’t currently address on the main GHL podcast feed. Jason and Ashley are especially proud of the upcoming SCOTT PILGRIM episode of GHL EXTRA where they are going to pitch Who They Would Be If They Were In Ramona Flower’s League of Evil Exes!

Jason and Jeremy Jawing About Justice League breaks into the world of JUSTICE LEAGUE: UNLIMITED! There are more characters than ever and, perhaps most importantly, MORE BOOSTER GOLD THAN EVER BEFORE! Jason & Jeremy had a big recording session last weekend getting the show sorted through the end of 2023. Last month they dissected CRISIS ON TWO EARTHS, but now it’s time to properly dive into what the new show looks like. Hold onto your butts!

Inside the Podcast Studio highlighted fun convention stories last month with tales of Kevin Smith, Georges Jeanty, and Francis Manapul! This month Jason and Ashley are exploring their action figure collections as a compliment to the videos we’ve shared exploring their comic book collections. On Discord J. (Jayperiod), shared this:

So this month is an IRL adaptation of ACTION FIGURE SPOTLIGHT! Jason and Ashley have talked for years about their respective SUPERMAN and ROBIN collection. This month’s video marks your first exploration of the collections. December will be the next LIVESTREAM episode with Diego Anthony Nuñez & preliminary fulfillment has begun! The Jawiin Discord has our first ever BOOK CLUB VOICE CHAT this Friday, November 10th at 3pm PT! We’ll be discussing our #SpookySeason read THE VAMPIRES OF EL NORTE. Based on how this one goes Ashley will be planning future Book Clubs in our #book-chatter channel. Can you say “FOURTH WING” or perhaps “RED RISING”? Next week will will also be launching our SECOND ANNUAL JAWIIN DISCORD HOLIDAY GIFT EXCHANGE which is done entirely digitally (no need to disseminate your home address), and open to participants all over the world! Last year was such a smash we’re thrilled to be cementing it as a tradition of our community.

Los Angeles Comic Con is December 1st - 3rd and the next Convention you can find us at. Ashley will be speaking on a panel hosted by Fanbase Press and we’re toying with the idea of doing a GHL Meet Up. If you are going to be in LA early in December sound off so we can start planning!

Thanksgiving can be a difficult holiday for a number of reasons. There are cultural insensitivities. Travel can be stressful. All families are psychotic. We choose to focus on the “thankful” part of the holiday in our personal celebrations. This year we are so thankful for everyone who is a part of the JAWINN COMMUNITY. You are the beautiful, sexy souls who keep us going each and every single day. Thank-you.
