Zelda, like Mario, isn’t known for its compelling storytelling. They’re essentially the same plot of “rescue the captured princess”. What about Zelda makes people put in dozens or sometimes hundreds of hours into a single game?

Given the ever expanding lore depicted throughout the Legend of Zelda series (which is pretty rare for video games not based on books) if you were adapting the material, would you choose film or television? And given that choice, would you keep Link a mute protagonist or give him an auditory voice?
