Happy Earth Month!

MOON KNIGHT has swept the globe - can you believe there’s a Moon Knight series? And it’s on Disney+? - and SONIC is enjoying its status as the Best Video Game-to-Movie adaptation with the sequel released. On our side of things we are deep in the throws of Kickstarter fulfillment land. Yay!

Geek History Lesson is going to be extremely Marvel-heavy for the rest of the month. This week we released our BEST SUPERHERO VIDEO GAMES episode with BRIAN TONG! We’ve wanted to have Brian as a guest on the podcast for years and were so thrilled to have our schedules align to make it happen. In a couple weeks we are going to be joined by another Brian (Ibbott), but you already know that if you read our SNEAK PEEK post from last week. We’re rocketing toward not only DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS, but also MARVEL CLUB!

What is #MarvelClub …?

Welp, we will have an official breakdown/announcement in a couple weeks followed by a full public announcement during our CLEA (*cue screams from Ashley*), episode at the end of April.

Sufficeth to say: video reviews will be returning, exclusive interconnecting artwork will be mailed out over the year, and Stevie and Clea will have more opportunities than ever to worm their way into our feeds.

Geek History Lesson Extra this month includes two extended interviews and the return of our frustrations at lists compiled by other publications. Like the main podcast we’re pretty steeped in not only Marvel Comics lore, but in MCU lore. If you are a Marvel Movie fanatic you are going to be super pleased by what we have in store for you!

JASON AND JEREMY JAWING ABOUT JUSTICE LEAGUE - alright, alright, back the DC Comics stuff! - this month we are diving into the second season of JUSTICE LEAGUE and we are going to be joined by the one-and-only ASHLEY VICTORIA ROBINSON to welcome back the show’s regular format. Episodes with Ashley are longer than typical JUSTICE PODS and we are doing some traveling for work so for the next two months you are getting one EXTRA LONG episode before we go back to the biweekly release schedule starting in June - right in time for Jason’s birthday!

The latest Jason and Ashley’s Excellent Adventures is back-back-back-back-back again dropping a new episode NEXT THURSDAY! This episode is a little more introspective, a little more of a thought experiment than we’ve done before. We explore EVERY DAY OLYMPICS! “What is an every day activity you would win an Olympic Medal in?” we place ourselves and each other on the podium. It was SO MUCH FUN to record! We hope you’ll love the episode and comment your rankings for yourselves. We’re very interested to see what people think they’re awesome at.

Secret Mail Level patrons are getting a collection of SINGLE ISSUE COMIC BOOKS this month. Each issue was used in our research for either SUPER BEST FRIEND or AURORA AND THE EAGLE. A huge part of our creative process involves reading things which tonally tie into what we are trying to achieve in our own works. We hope you find these stories as inspiring as we did. Ashley is going to be PRODUCING and acting in a PLAY in Los Angeles this coming June. It’s genre, it’s sci fi, and it will be watchable from all over the world. More details on that to come …

With DOCTOR STRANGE 2 and #MarvelClub right around the corner we are super thrilled to explore the mythology of these incredible characters and how they play into the mythology of our own show. It’s going to be a super fun way for us to expand and integrate the types of storytelling we do across mediums here on the patreon.
