Hey Patrons,
After another month of non-stop washing our hands and transitioning in-person geek events to digital geek events I hope you are all doing well!
Last month Ashley and I did a lot to try and bring you even more content during these trying times.
- Our NEW COMIC BOOK DAY free-to-you .pdfs are continuing this month!
- Daily Livestreams on Instagram (@Jawiin, @AshleyVRobinson - sometimes we’re both streaming the same day at different times)
- Instagram Story Templates (Recommended Reading, Recommended Viewing, Recommended Listening), being shared first @AshleyVRobinson then a couple weeks later on the Geek History Lesson Twitter (@GHLPodcast)
- MORE GHL LIVESTREAMS!
In April we participated in the Mainframe Comic Con and Alt FCD digitally and are looking forward to more opportunities to bring the Comic Book Convention Experience to everyone all over the world!
JUPITER JET AND THE FORGOTTEN RADIO is almost done! Kickstarter Backers received the first 20 pages last weekend (in celebration of FREE COMIC BOOK DAY!), and we’re just waiting on the final letters before the graphic novel is ready to move into physical productions. Physical books are still moving forward as planned. We’re set to have a chat with our publisher, Action Lab Entertainment, this month to confirm everything.
BUT, JASON, WHAT IF I MISSED THE KICKSTARTER!?!?!?!?!?!
I’m so glad you asked!
The JUPITER JET BACKERKIT PREORDER STORE IS LIVE!!!
This means Non-Backers have an opportunity to get their hands on some of the Rewards AND Backers have the opportunity to add anything they missed.
PATREON ACTION TEAM BACKERS SHOULD PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE NEXT BATCH OF GEEK HISTORY LESSONS TO HEAR YOUR NAMES ON THE SHOW!
Remember last year when you helped get JUPITER JET nominated for every Ringo Award possible?! That was amazing! This year we are asking you to help get SCIENCE! THE ELEMENTS OF DARK ENERGY nominated in the same categories!
VOTE HERE!
The Ringo Awards are incredible because LITERALLY ANYONE can vote! If you do, please be sure to email a confirmation screenshot to geekhistorylesson@gmail.com and you’ll receive a special Thank You!
This is your monthly reminder: If you read SCIENCE! and liked it - or if you read SCIENCE! and did not like it - please leave a review:
Geek History Lesson just came back from our week off! *whew* I mentioned earlier that JUPITER JET AND THE FORGOTTEN RADIO Backers will be receiving their shout outs in the next batch. Once the next 4 episodes have aired we’re planning to introduce a Summer School project at the Mind University - MOVIE CLUB! The first poll is already up (go and vote!), to choose what our debut geek movie will be. Like when we did STAR TREK: FIRST CONTACT, the Movie Club episodes will be streamed to Youtube and the audio uploaded to the feed. This means there are more ways than every for YOU to be a direct participant in GEEK HISTORY LESSON!
Speaking of podcasts … this month’s Jason and Ashley’s Excellent Adventures has to do with our musical proclivities and will be accompanied by a Spotify playlist for your listening pleasures.
Blackest Night Club is about to be 4 Episodes deep! From a production PoV, Ashley and I have recorded ALL 10 EPISODES and our editor, Savage Sword of Adam, is working his incredible magic on Episode 5. We were so happy to share the madness that was ROBIN PARTY with you. I can assure you even more nonsense is currently hurtling through space toward your homes soon! Also, we are gearing up to record our first MAILBAG episode. Be sure to get your questions/comments/concerns/jokes in AT THE ORIGINAL POST. ((link to be embedded))
**All physical swag has shipped if you have your address attached to your patreon account
Secret Mail Level supporters will be receiving unique prints this month! We’re sharing some of our Robin & Superman pieces with you in future and this month will be another heading straight to you at home!
Being creative and working with this community has been such a gift during these crazy times. Ashley and I are so grateful to be able to have you with us as our partners and tastemakers as we continue to move forward and keep making as much geeky goodness as possible.
Thank you
Jason Inman
