On a personal note, I remember not knowing much about STTNG, but we watched the season finale as a family and bc intrigued. That November my brother died. After that I turned to Star Trek. NBC used to show two episodes of STTNG and one of the OG on Saturdays after the news and two of the OG and one of STTNG on Sunday. I would set the VCR to record them and watch them all during the week. STTNG really helped me find meaning in life during a hard time

I watched TNG in syndication as it was always on every night from 6-7 on I think it was UPN. We didn’t have cable then. And the episodes were always random. I didn’t appreciate it back then (pretty sure I thought it was boring) but I’m watching it now from the beginning and it’s so good! Just finished Yesterday’s Enterprise and you are right Jason, it’s such a great episode. Looking forward to watching/rewatching some of the episodes on this list!

Sometimes when you watch shows with mythology like this out of order it can be a weird experience. I wouldn't beat yourself up for not appreciating it.
