I used to hate TTG just because of what I heard about it. Then I watched a few episodes with my son (who is 4 and who I watched the original TT show). He loved it and I actually found it funny. You are 100% correct, people need to realize it is for kids, but even then adults can appreciate the humor. I will definitely be taking him to see it (both for him and for me).
