This one's a little more complicated, about how to make a minimal attack animation.

With an attack animation one of the most important things to do is to make sure that the player feels the input immediately.  So, the hitbox area must be filled IMMEDIATELY in the first frame, no anticipation, nothing.

Since that action is so fast you must make it bounce back until the relaxed position again, and then I usually add another little bounce (frame 8) just to make everything juicier.
