I tried, and I was entertained, but I wasn't felling this story arc. It's weird because it had all the ingredients of a great story arc. Everybody and their mama was up in this story arc, and I think that was both the pro and con of this story arc. I love Padme, but why was she there for the entire story arc? If you know a place is going to descend into to Civil War realistically her and the other Senators would have been evacuated on the ship within the first 3 minutes of the episode. It's like her character was just there to be a distraction. And why wasn't Rex with Anakin and Ahsoka? I think my biggest disconnect with this story arc was that our main characters were really background characters.
