Grevious is like that (non canon) because mace windu fucked his lungs up with the force. In cannon, he was a great warrior and Dooku manipulated him to hate the Jedi and fabricated an incident that almost left him dead. Then dooku mutilated him and made him become this cyborg

Kit Fisto, the Jedi who escaped is also in the background of the films. Palpatine kills him during the "It's treason then" scene in Revenge of the sith.

They may have forgotten some things about it because they do make several references to it, honestly I would love to see them do a rewatch of ROTS after they finish Clone Wars.

ROTS I think will be included in the chronological order of clone wars but if not they’ll probably watch it after
