As someone who has complained in the past about the later films but who also grew up loving the first 2... Here's my review now that I've rewatched all of them with yall: When Sean got to see Han again in this one, I got emotional. I didn't care about the logic or terms like Deus Ex Machina. And that's the point of the films to me. The lack of physics or logic is distracting at times but that's just flavor to me. And I think you guys understand that even if you don't put it into words. The way you joked about how all the citizens dying in collateral damage are potential Jason Momoa type villains. You guys get that it's not meant to be realistic, it's meant to be fun watching the same crew go on crazy adventures together. It's an epic story about family, romance and brotherhood told through over the top spectacle. We can complain about the ridiculousness but numbers don't lie. Look at the box office. We all love spectacle, and that's why the series is successful. And I can say that in my opinion, the writers know to mix in real important messages underneath all of the spectacle. The substance of the story and messages are actually very potent. So I think the FF movies have a genuine heart and that's something I do appreciate now that I'm older. Excited for part 10!
