Absolutely a masterpiece of a tv show. I don't use that term lightly. The writing, acting and direction are amazing. This is my 3rd time watching (first with the guys) and the art and craftmanship of each episode truly are astonishing. People who disliked this show or said it was "boring" are truly lost and miss out on epic and sophisticated storytelling. The way this episode in particular ends with Kino Loy simply answering Andor was so simple and powerful. Not to mention what was still to come. Brillance!

The prolonged injustice keeps escalating. This is why I am stressed. The heroes are only as good as the conflict they face and the empire is no longer jedis-turned-bad but a complex system of oppression, antipathy, and soul-sucking evil. This series is so well-written.

My favorite thing about this show is that they shift away from the whole "good vs evil" formula that Star Wars fans are used to. It's still a story about a "bad" Empire vs a "good" Rebellion.. but the Rebels use dirty tactics, and most of the Imperials we meet are just trying to do their job.. they aren't trying to be cruel. It turns the conflict much more grey than typically portrayed.
