Have to keep in mind what I joked and implied last time about the Taiko trying, and failing, to have an heir with "100's of consorts"... Ol' Taiko was shooting limp arrows if you catch my drift. Yet Ochiba no Kata still got pregnant with "his" heir??? Hmmm... I wonder who's the REAL father of the heir??? Think about it and think about some of the subtle visuals and moments of awkward eye contact between her and a certain someone... Go re-watch the earlier episodes and you'll catch it if you think about it from this new perspective and her talking about "controlling her own fate" and giving the Emperor an "heir". BTW, if you haven't seen the rest of the series, don't worry this DOES NOT spoil or ruin anything or I wouldn't be typing it here. Just something I noticed and didn't see many other people discussing, even though it's fairly obvious. There's a lot of subtle nuance to this story that takes serious contemplation and a re-watch or two. Great show. There's a LOT of other hidden story elements like this but I won't talk about those until the end of the series.
