So my dude, one thing to talk about, when you rigged up this character, did you do any special setup in terms of rigging for good muscle definition and deformation?

Good question! Not in terms of bone deformers tugging on the mesh, but just good ol corrective shape keys. In one of my recent behind the scenes posts I put some images of her arm deforming during flexion and extension. The corrective shape keys there correct the biceps and triceps. Another one sits on her back at the shoulder blades, which are moved to the side or towards the center depending on if the arm is rotated forwards or backwards. There is an additional corrective shape going on at the thighs, but that's not for muscle tension but rather for the squishing when the lower leg gets too close to the upper leg. I do want to set up some proper complicated rig in the future to get actual correct muscle deformation with the muscles and bones visibly moving below the skin. But for that I probably need to sculpt some actual shape keys on the high poly mesh and bake down the detailmaps.
