Wait...the Merino Wool socks are not "Darn Tough"? That is somewhat shocking since they are both high quality and the lifetime warranty (yes, on socks) is amazing!

Kind of surprised he doesn't use an Aranet4 CO2 monitor. It might not track some of the other compounds, but it's much more reliable and he can leave it running for months without needing to worry about charge. Also the geiger counter makes me worry he knows something the rest of us don't and/or is going to some sketchy places.

Great fun! I find it highly amusing that Grey accumulates or possibly just plans 'emergency kits', as I have been doing since I was a child... It just excites me to consider all the possible things you might like to have on hand in a 'grab bag'...

Thank you for the reminder to buy a first aid set for my car!

Hey, Grey! Thanks for putting this guide together. It's been a while since I've gone though my "go-bag," and it looks like I might have a few additions to make.

This looks a lot like my urbex/EDC load out, though the Crunch is best Leatherman. To that I'd add CAT TQ pre-staged in case of massive hemorrhage. Not just for survivalism but for the rare but serious trauma you may come across (or endure).

For exploring places with questionable air quality, CGP might find an oxygen detector more useful than an indoor air quality meter. Who knows which gases are displacing the air and a nasty pocket of N2 will lead to him passing out while the other detector says all is well.
