Wooo Tesla driving is back! The original of the Lonliest Road in America is one of the videos I've enjoyed watching the most. This ranks right up there. I also really love how unsurprised I am that humans would flock to the deadliest road especially since it has a name involving dragons..

Wow. I did not expect it to completely work

Loved the little Grey cartoon face in the photos of the car. 😂

Would you be willing to post some of the pictures from the drone, or other photos you took, of the colors of the foliage... I'm a sucker for fall foliage.

Drove the Dragon about 2 years ago in a Prius by accident. Had just come off the Cherohala Skyway and then found ourselves driving past the Tree of Shame and Deal's Gap. It was a rough 30 ish minutes of screams from the Prius's driving assist system.. specifically the braking system due to all the sudden turns and nearby obstacles. I have been so curious about whether the Tesla driving system could handle something like the Dragon. Really excited that it performed do well :) Just a warning about the road for other ppl: My wife had a bad case of road sickness while on the Dragon. It is not for the faint of stomach.. even if you are driving carefully.

I'm definitely going to watch the uncut version later. We're there really no close calls? If so, very impressive.

Aww well done Winter! ٩(^◡^)۶

Good to hear from you Grey, hope your doing well.

Your Dad must be an amazing driver. I tried and failed to qualify, and I'm an extremely safe and boring driver.

Did your Dad KNOW you were taking his Tesla to do this?

Crissa Kentavr

Wow! What a fun trip! How many times did it touch the yellow? Gotta get those numbers down ^-^

Are you going to do a directors commentary for this or the urban driving one? I actually live in downtown Raleigh so it would be interesting to hear more details.

Holy shit I had to skip through the 8x speed part because it started to give me motion sickness. Can't even imagine doing it in real life.

John Ridley

This road was a trivial challenge compared to driving in a city, IMO, especially one with less than stellar roads. I want to see a Tesla get through Houghton Michigan in the winter, where they don't even bother plowing down to pavement, you're driving on top of 8 inches of packed snow, people are parked in random spots, traction is minimal, people use steering into snowbanks as valid braking techniques, and visibility is sometimes "I can kind of see the end of my hood."

Dave DuJour

You should take FSD Beta on the Million Dollar Highway in Colorado. (Ourey to Silverton) I drove my (non-fsd beta) Tesla through it back in May and there are some curves that the car just won't handle. But the drive is stunning. I'd love to see how Beta runs on that very high and windy road.

Seemed significantly safer than going to the sun road in Glacier National Park...some of the deadliness must come from complacency?

Ohio's crazy interstates! Talking about 70 and 270 can lend itself to some mild confusion, like "take the 270 to 70." But then, chaos! I-71 crosses I-70 right through the heart of Columbus, with 270 circling the city. And 271 is up in Cleveland, so you can take the 271 to 71 to 70, one loop around 270, then backtrack to 71 and 271! That, my fFriends, is a real route I have taken!!!

Jane Bailey

It's my understanding that 270 was named such because it goes "to 70" and ditto with 271/71 so that's not a coincidence.
