I was very confident I was never going to make a follow-up to the first one. But here we are.

🇬🇧🔥 Brexit, Briefly: REVISITED! 🔥🇪🇺

Brexit? Is that still happening, or what? Footnote on the EU's SECRET strategy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agZ0xISi40E&list=PLqs5ohhass_QREwr7tdW8gh3kLgAwX8wh&index=3 Discuss this video: http://reddit.com/r/cgpgrey

There’s three things... pick two? Don’t you mean pick one?

How much you wanna bet that Brexit supporters are hoping the EU will enforce the borders and than they can frame the EU as the bad guys? I also wouldn't be surprised if neither side does anything and Northern Ireland just says "screw it" and reunites with Ireland.

Chris Leduc

But I don't get this whole border story. For historical reasons, both the UK and Ireland were always de facto excluded from Schengen. Thus while I can cross the Irish-UK border with no issues, I need to show my passport both ways when passing the UK/Irish — EU border. Thus the whole discussion makes absolutely no sense to me. If Ireland is de-facto out, it can still keep an open border with the UK just like before. Am I missing something?

You know... the troubles climbing the ladder at the end there could potentially be seen as a hint of some sort... Except Grey doesn't give things away, or touch *sensitive* subjects (I'm looking at you, Native American history)

You're missing that EU-authorized people don't need a passport stamp to enter Ireland, shengen or no shengen. If there is no border between ROI and NI, and there is no border between NI and the UK, then anybody with a EU visa can walk right into Great Britain through Ireland

Something climbed into your balloon...

I recall that before the vote, NI was conspicuously missing from the "literature" of the leave campaign. Holding back a supremely ingenious solution or just clueless? Great summary Grey.

Loving the tea. So much more civilised than our Brexit vids with Stephen Fry, which caused firestorms (in teacups?).

In your original Brexit video, you mention the chances of Scotland leaving UK —- still the same?

Anonymous

I would say so, and possibly Wales too if the UK continues to be so Anglocentric. Here is a quote from a former lecturer of mine on the current state of the Union with Brexit: "The security blanket of the UK that encouraged many Scots to vote No in 2014 has been ripped apart as Britain is reinvented as an isolated, right-wing, non-European state. It is very easy to imagine a successful Scottish referendum in the next decade. It is almost as easy to imagine circumstances that could lead to Irish reunification. Within a decade or two, Wales might be the only one left in the UK with England."

I love the sportsball-commentator Voice at the start! You had nu attention immediately

What about the part where the UK has prepared nothing for any version of Brexit? No customs agents have ben hired, no new systems for authorizing work visas or certifications. My friend is a surgeon in England on an EU certification (He’s American). They don’t know if they can stay after this summer. They don’t know if they can pass through the border after the end of the month. And they don’t know how they’re going to find food, either.

Chris Leduc

The revised systems will go live on March 30 if need be. Also agents appear to have been recruited at an accelerated pace according to lookups of the https://www.gov.uk/jobsearch website over the last 8 months.

Here's the summary of preparations the UK Government has taken, including technical documents explaining how various aspects of law/life/regulations/rights would change: https://euexit.campaign.gov.uk

I very much hoped there would be some sort of reaction shot in the very last few frames, but alas....

While we'd all love *another* follow-up, no worries if you don't want to bother until it's really *really* over.

I’m curious about the current situation of Brexit
