Hello friends! This week I implemented some interesting things that I would like to share with you. I might make a video showing some of these new features in action, but for now, I'll just explain it dryly.

I improved the save file, now all the data is concentrated in a single file, including the thumbnail image, which will facilitate the backup and sharing of saves.

I also reduced the resolution of the thumb, this avoids the delay that happened when opening the panel full of saves. This also opens up the possibility for an auto-saves panel and even infinite saves, I just need to work on a functional design.

Now when you click on start game, a panel opens asking which "step" you want to start, so you don't need to replay Brendon and Nicole's chapter if you haven't saved it.

I've also added a screen at the end of each "step" asking whether or not you want to start the next one, this takes away, for example, the need to play as Nicole if you just want to play as Brendon.

With that, I was very motivated to write alternative endings for each character, generating different ways to experience the game. You could start in Barney's chapter, ignore Jane's chapter which will be the next one, and play the quests, some scenes will change the point of view and the ending would be different.

The coolest thing, and maybe I really need the video to explain, is that I added a system for the interfaces of monitors, TVs, and cell phones that the characters used within the game. This allows Brendon to work, and Barney to choose what he watches on TV.

I'll explain better how important this is when I show you an example, but to give you an idea, because of this change I'll be able to include in the next update the first appearances of Tiffany Starlette and Rose Pound (missing here, a render of Tiffany and Rose celebrating this news, sorry 🥺). It will also be possible to add the development of Sarah, who uses the phone a lot.

It was a very productive week, I would have a lot more to tell, but I couldn't express how excited these achievements made me. I'm sure you'll notice the improvements when the next update is ready.

I really appreciate your support and wish you a great weekend!
