First of some highly requested bridles. When I rode horses (way too long ago now), I rode Hunter/Jumper...in the US. Thank you everyone for your help explaining the US/UK difference to me, particularly LostMelodies who gave me a lot of reference images. I hope these will round out the base RP need for the discipline.

In this post:

  • 1. Basic Bridle w/D-bit
  • 2. Basic Bridle w/fullcheek bit (& bit holder)
  • 3. Basic Bridle w/eggbutt bit
  • 4. Flat Leather Bridle w/double bit & fancy browband

As per usual, I chose bits that looked cool and interesting to me; sorry if they are not your preference. I'm hoping the browband/rosette are easy enough to recolor. The US Hunter bridles have swatches with a subtle fancy stitch design on them (I was wary of making this too bold myself). Relatedly, these bridles mark the first that have remapped browbands! As I add more variations to my bridles, I will be switching the browbands over to this map. It does make it a lot easier to add studded textures to it.

Usual stuff: meshes are relatively high poly, bits will deform with some head shapes, follow TOU, feel free to add swatches/make recolors as long as result is kept free (no early access) and credit is given.

PS: Next release is almost done and it's bridle versions of my breed-specific halters. Just one more texture to finish up. After will likely be more bridle variations including an Icelandic bridle & Figure 8 with a sheepskin noseband connector. December is such a busy month that I may not be switching back over to entirely new meshes until the upcoming year, but I'll still try to get these "simpler" type releases out.
