Andor is just amazing. I honestly don't know how people slept on this show, it's a great show that just happens to be set in Star Wars... episode 10 is one of the best episodes of TV period

Also loving the representation of Space Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. Honestly didn't notice how many Scottish actors are in this show 😍

I’d also point out that Disney dropped eps 1-3 the first night which helped tremendously. It’s a jarring show as it sharpyl departs from how any other SW feels, and while I dont think “slow” is entirely fair, i think “deliberate” is accurate. When the first arc finishes, i think the viewer is fully oriented in this shows pace and style

This series was made by Tony Gilroy who wrote most or all of the Bourne films. They’re definitely worth a watch too.

I think what makes 'Andor' such a great show to watch is seeing just how meticulous the creators (Tony Gilroy and his team of writers) were with crafting the world and the characters that are within it. I've loved Star Wars for as long as I can remember, but 'Andor' was the first time for me watching a Star Wars property where I had to look inwards and examine for myself why I loved Star Wars as much as I do. The way in which this show made me think about Star Wars in new ways, something I didn't think was possible given how much content is out there that is set in this galaxy, is something I found to be extremely cool and refreshing. 'Andor' might not be the most popular Star Wars show out there, but it is far and away, in my opinion, the most well written, shot, and acted. I'm excited to see what you guys think once you get further into the show. There's some very exciting stuff to come!

What makes Andor do great is the Acting, the casting, the writhing, some of the best dialogues in the Star Wars universe, especially ep.7 no action but the dialogues and acting make this episode one of my favourites

I believe it was filmed here in the UK ( Pinewood Studios ) and the casting reflects it. Quite a few of very experienced but underrated movie and stage actors are in the show. In my opinion, this is the best live-action stuff since Rouge One, really love it.

So happy to see you guys watching Andor. I was planning to re-watch it so might as well do it this way. In my opinion, it's the best live-action stuff since Rouge One. It's a slow burn, starts slowly, and does a lot of character/world-building in a very meticulous way. This is not your usual JJ Abrams kind of crap when you rush through the movie, opening plotholes left and right most character doesn't make any sense, etc... The writing is outstanding, there were dialogues that knocked me off my chair. After the episode ended I was just sitting and smiling, appreciating the fact that a SW show has this kind of quality. There are a lot of scenes where the acting is very subtle ( the characters playing another character ) especially later when the politics start, and it was a joy to watch this cast doing such great work with these well-written characters. The writing for the characters is very layered and it was given to the right people who had the experience and the skill to unwrap it.

Definitely starts slow, with a true exponential curve to the finale. I am always down for the slow build and the slow burn. I was starting to get worn out though. Some people were really captured by episode three or four… But I was begging to doubt. With hopes it would go somewhere good I kept tuning in weekly. I even I said to my wife when I was about to start episode 6, “Let’s see if anything actually happens in this episode” That was the episode that everything began to pay off for me. I’ve even rewatched it, all these early episodes I wasn’t giving much credence to have us so much character and setup to care when things really begin to rocket along. I do think it works better as a binge series than a weekly watch.

Yup, love when smaller lesser known actors get the spotlight

As a Scot, I love it. The OG Star Wars was peopled by so many great British actors, big and small. My only complaint with Mando is how American virtually everyone is, since it's filmed in the States. Takes away a little of the flavour. Andor had plenty of British voices (gruff, preppy, working class, stiff upper lip) in there, like the original Star Wars. We need to keep up with Scots in space, Cockneys in space, upper class gentry in space. Star Wars was always a melting pot!

I do think the first two arcs could have been 2 episodes each instead of 3. I think episode 2 and 5 are definitely the weakest in terms of pacing, But the season as a whole is closest thing to perfect that modern star wars has got so far i think.

I think someone said this already, releasing an episode on a weekly basis may not be the best idea considering how Andor takes its time building worlds and branching out different storylines. It’s really slow and I suggest you could release an ep every other day. If weekly is the most convenient, that’s completely fine; no rush

The first 3 episodes were released together and intended to be watched together, they're basically a movie split into 3 parts.
