I started watching as soon I saw this pop up

Wedge and Hobbie are OGs. 😎

I'm glad you guys enjoyed these episodes. Just so you both are aware (since you said you weren't sure when in the video), season three of 'The Mandalorian' comes out on March 1st. At this point, we're less than a month away!

Povenmire

I’m sure you know Wedge, but Hobbie fought in the battle of Hoth.

Jen should definitely play Star Wars Squadrons with VR headset :)

Interesting that Jen said he’d like Hannibal. Cos the guy that does his voice is Lars Mikkelsen, brother of Mads Mikkelsen who played Hannibal in the tv show.

Frosty

Interesting how Jenn compared Thrawn to Hannibal. Hannibal the TV series starred Mads Mikkelsen and the voice actor for Thrawn is Lars Mikkelsen, his brother.

Thrawn is epic villain. I like how he is smart and learning everything what he can about his enemy.

Alex the Patron

i think thrawns voice actor even is the brother of the actor of hannibal (the show)

Daniel Francisco

As everyone has said, Thrawn’s VA is Lars Mikkelsen, brother of Mads Mikkelsen who not only played Hannibal on TV, but was also Galen Erso, Jyn Erso’s father in Rogue One. Thrawn is my favorite Star Wars character, and I'm glad you both seem to be enjoying him! He’s definitely not an idiot, and it’s refreshing to have a competent antagonist.

Pretty much the CIS wanted to break free from the rule of the Republic forming their own independent government that being the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Most of these were planets beyond the Core Worlds, These planets felt that the Republic wasn't doing enough for them along with the invasion of Naboo which showed that the Republic couldn't even defend their planets this all lead to the formation of the CIS founded by Count Dooku who of course was a Sith Lord secretly leading the Confederacy's executive council made up of major galactic corporations. The average Separatist civilian had no idea that Count Dooku was a Sith just that he was a former Jedi just like the average Republic civilian didn't know that Palpatine was a Sith Lord. To the average separatist civilian they were the good guys while the Republic were the enemy. Andor for example from Rogue One was a Separatist at the time of the Clone Wars so was alot of Rebels who went from fighting the Republic to fighting the Empire which lead to the formation of The New Republic. Separatist believed they were fighting a corrupted Republic but we don't see any separatist freedom fighters in the movies or even the Clone Wars show just Droids and cartoon villains so it's easy to think that they're the bad guys. Clone Wars did show the political side of the CIS but nothing related to freedom fighters. Both sides were secretly controlled by Darth Palpatine, Clone Wars conflict was created to weaken the Galaxy so that Palpatine could form a new Government out of a weaken galaxy turning the Republic into an Empire and then "liberating" the CIS controlled planets after Palpatine gave the command to shut down the Droid army which he technically controlled. This is why no one really won the Clone Wars but the Empire who was victorious over the CIS and Republic. A few CIS enclave still existed people who refused to shut down there droids which lead to the early Empire cleaning up these leftover Separatist something we see in Battlefront 2 (2005).

If you guys want to play a game where you can fly Star Wars ships, not only is Star Wars Battlefront 2 good, but Star Wars Sqaudrons is also really good. It’s one of the newer Star Wars games, and it focuses entirely on flight in Star Wars. Its controls for the vehicles are super in-depth, and it’s a pretty fun flying game.

The fighter academy episode was sort of a deep cut for Wedge and Hobbie. Wedge was an Xwing pilot that flew with Luke in “Red Squadron.” hobbie was present on shaving flying a snowspeeder. In Legends, both had plenty to do in the post-ROTJ era rebuilding Rogue Squadron for the New Republic An unfortunate aspect of the reactor life style is that one consumes lots of content, sometimes out of order, and sometimes in a scattershot manner, without ever having time to digest it. I suspect that’s why Jen was so hung up on Republic-Separatist-Empire.

Chris Ratcliffe-Springall

Wedge Antilles is the only pilot with 2 Death Star kill silhouettes on his x-wing.

Chris Moranec

I have to recommend the game Star Wars Squadrons. Entirely flight, all kinds of ships. The story mode takes you through both sides as well.
