Overall, I enjoyed 'Glass Onion,' but it took me a while to get into it. With that said, I still prefer 'Knives Out.' I personally felt that the mystery, and the twists and turns that accompanied it, were done better in that movie.

Dawson

Ye I prefer the first, I think once Glass Onion gets going it's really good but all the real life references to events and sayings really took me out of the movie in the first 40mins but afterwards it was entertaining

A surprise and a welcome. How have I never realized y'all never reacted to this movie?! Well this is an instant watch for me.

I think this was one of Chris Evans first jobs after finishing up with the MCU. He said in an interview that he really enjoyed diving into the part of a douchy character immediatly after playing a good-hearted character like C-A for so long. Just goes to show the range he has.

This movie has so many details in it that make it so fun to rewatch. Like how different family members tell Marta they wanted her at the funeral but were voted out (somebody is lying/probably all). How everybody gets the country her family is from wrong. They all have this fake kindness that completely goes away when Marta is named in the will. Then it was knives out. Knowing the damning clue on Marta's shoe makes Daniel Craig's use of lines like "something is afoot" or "the game is afoot" an extra level of clever. How Richard throws the ball while trying to destroy the incriminating evidence only to have that ball eventually be the reason that Jamie Lee Curtis finds the evidence in the first place. Craig says dogs are the best judge of character, and the dogs are kind with Marta, but go crazy with Ransom. In the Go game Marta plays at the start that she regularly beats Harlon at, she says she's "not playing to win" which mimics what Craig tells her at the end how she won by "not by playing Harlon's way, but yours." This movie is packed with details, foreshadowing, references, easter eggs. Some in dialogue. Some in set design. Some in camera work. This is a masterwork of cinema in my opinion.
