I haven't read the Ahsoka novel but I believe the farming section of this episode isn't soon after the end of the Clone Wars. I think there may be a good 8-9 years before you see her in Rebels but I could be wrong.

Darth Mornabin

The farming section takes place one year after Clone Wars. Rebels takes place 14 years after Clone Wars.

Jedi Mandalore (Dylan)

I'm pretty positive that the planet featured in this episode is the same one from EP2. Similar farming and droids yet the land looks alot more green compared to EP2.

What great timing to catch these right when you watch the end of Rebels S1! The Force is at work…

I really like the lightsaber fight. It just shows(especially after 5) how much Anikin train Ashoka. She is a bad ass and earned it

the inquisitor she defeated was the 6th brother. she then took his red crystals from his saber, purified them, and made her own lightsabers from them.

Hay Holden really like your star wars reactions. I heard in this video that you have recorded the new rebels video. When will it come out?

Something that I really appreciated about this short was how it brought Ahsoka's arc throughout her three shorts full circle. When she is a baby, her mother tells her to honor life and death, and in this short we see her following her mother's words by attending Padme's funeral even though it puts herself at risk of being detected.

Fun Fact: The name Ashla was the original name that the writers had for her but than changed to ahsoka

This episode was basically an abridged version of the Ahsoka novel. The villain was an inquisitor named the sixth brother and the farming portion took place a year after Rots and 14 years before she first appears in Rebels.

I don't often do this but I don't recommend reading it, I advise you to buy the audiobook version of it. It's voiced by Ashley Eckstein (the actress who voices Ahsoka ) so it feels like Ahsoka tells her story. It's really special and I can't recommend it enough.

That guy was so out of his league and he had no idea the whole time lol. Inquisitors are good for terrorizing padawans in hiding but by this point Ahsoka is really powerful. Trained by giants of the Order, spent years in wartime, took part in countless battles, went toe to toe with Griveous, fought and captured Darth Maul. The imparity between them is huge and it was laughable how easily she defeated him without a weapon. Oh and thank you for the kyber crystals BTW, they'll come very handy lol. Great scene, great moments. Thank you again, Filoni. :)

Another fun fact, it's the old name for the light side of the force, with the dark side being called bogan. I.e, the Ashla and the Bogan.

Derek Willerton

I would actually encourage people NOT to get the ahsoka audiobook. It is voiced by Ashley, which is great. But the pace and cadence in which she reads it is insanely fast. She barely leaves any time between words and it just makes it a very unenjoyable listen compared to literally any other audio book. So I would actually say to get the physical version of that particular book. It's a bummer too, pretty much every other Star Wars book has incredible audio versions.

Weird how Ahsoka have the Fulcrum icon tattooed on her face ;)

My hope was that they would recanonize her female love interest from the novel in this episode, which was one of the most important parts of the novel, but they cut it out. I think its a shame bc i hoped for this to lead into the ahsoka show, while giving the missed information of the novel to the non readers who still watch the hows (like you guys).

Theory says, that the farming planet she is on in the end is supposed to be the same one as the one from ep1 of tales of the jedi

If you plan to rewatch the Ahsoka episode of Mandalorian, finish Rebels first. Some of her lines directly link to the end of Rebels.
