OMG!!!!!!!! Yaaaaaay!!!

brad fedick

My wife and I just started this, we are ep 11 of season 1

Yes! Just started the clone wars as well. I suggest sticking with chronological order. I started with release order but switched to chronological and it made much more sense that way.

She’s so right!! Why are we skipping around? So with her! (btw ... this is nervous excitement.. I’m so glad it’s actually happening)

Some of the best Star Warsin' right here I tell you what!

Yes yes yes Yes

In fair honesty, a decent amount of episodes will need alcohol in the first few. I do promise you, it will very much mature. And the story-line goes from this episodal thing to very good arcs.

That was SO GOOD! Excellent job and yes .. drinks may help for season 1 for sure!

Keep an open mind with Ahsoka and the first seasons of this show in general. Her development throughout this show makes her one of Star Wars best characters in my opinion. You’ll see exactly why she’s the person she is in mando once you get through rebels and clone wars. She’s also getting her own show too! Also, Dave Filoni is the person who wrote most of clone wars, rebels, and a bunch of mando with Jon favreu. So keep that in mind.

The show starts getting "deeper" and less childish once the animation changes. Filoni took note during season 2 that fans weren't happy with the animation and ahsoka's character. So he listened to fans and made the changes necessary to turn it into a great show. Jenn, I would suggest alcohol for now, especially in the jar jar episode coming up soon. Plus there are two episodes soon that focus on R2 which you'll love. 'Clone Cadets' and 'Rookies' are two important clone focused episodes in my opinion. These start getting you emotionally invested in the clones as there own characters and not just "clones" or "numbers".

Do the MCU in between and that way you get a break but Jen gets started on watching it

So A few things that may help you out. The voice actors for C3P0, Mace Windu and Count Dooku all were voiced by their original actors (Daniels, Lee and Jackson) Another thing is that we see Anakin get his scar in the other clone wars series which technically predates this and came out just before Revenge of the sith. However after this series aired the other clone wars series was decanonised but still a good watch from what I have heard. Another thing that you were confused about is that, Jedi find these force users generally at a very young age, and then they become younglings and basically go through Jedi school if you will. Being taught the basics and then eventually creating their lightsabers. Then normally during an event or trial of combat and skills masters or jedi knights who don't have a padawan can choose a one. But Yoda decided to assign Anakin Ahsoka to try and make him less thoughtless and brash with his decisions and give him serious responsibility, in a sense to force him to try to act like a true jedi. Also Ahsoka is about 13 years old right now, with her turning 17 by the start of revenge of the sith. This may seem odd but it was quite normal for padawan learners to be this young. And I know you've heard this so much but it does get better, the graphics and nature does get alot better. I think it just takes a wee bit of getting used to. Dave filoni, purposefully made Ahsoka less likeable straight away and then through the first series very quickly develops her character. It's hard to explain but if you have the time and look this up, you'll find stuff talking about it. If you enjoy the graphics now you'll love it by the end of it haha, but that is a while away. While I am biased as I grew up watching these as a teen, they are really good. But I also am not so stupid to say that their are some episodes that leave alot to be desired, and alcohol may be necessary, but hopefully you won't need it. Anyway I really loved this first reaction and looking forward to the next video!

Yeah, Seasons 1 and 2 are a little more on the childish end of things, but this series matures with Ahsoka, as she becomes a better character, the series becomes better around her. Also, there are some seriously awesome story arcs in this. You’re in for one seriously awesome ride once you push through the first two seasons.

Yeah i think most people dont really bother watching season 1 except for maybe the ryloth arc, just push through season 1 and you'll start to see the characters and the show grow up

I completely agree with your negative feelings towards the first few episodes. i tried watching it years ago and just couldnt bring myself to finish the first season. but when they came out with Disney+ i made myself sit through the first season and then the 2nd and it started to grow on me and i began to notice less and less the issues i had with the series originally. Ahsoka's attitude will grow on you as you watch and she does improve as the series goes on. and yes. if its your thing, Alcohol will deff help you get past the rough parts and even enjoy the childish humor. this series dives really deep into the people and places around the main movies and provide more information on people / places that you most likely didnt really think about. i personally think that Jen will like seeing Ahsoka grow as a character in the series. also i would pay special attention to Anakin and how he acts / reacts to situations and how he displays his feelings. and how they compare to other Jedi / Sith around him.

As an answer / follow up to Andrew's comment: Dave Filoni produced The Clone Wars together with George Lucas. You could say he was Lucas' Padawan. He really knows everything about Star Wars and what fits and what doesn't. Really excited to be on this journey with you and see you guys grow to like it later on! :)

I think chronological *helps*, there's a lot of bouncing around between stories and characters that I like to group some of those things together, and they naturally group together, for the most part, going by chornological. Like the squad of clones the first few seasons follow. I had zero idea they were the same group that kept re-appearing but watching it in chrono helped with following who they were and their overall story I have my own list of episodes, they're chronological, and they weed out a lot of the filler/less good episodes, too. I'd be happy to share! It keeps the episode count down to a more managable 13 [give or take] per season, too. I'm sure binging everything all at once might get ya to feel a little burnt out [especially if you come across episodes you arent gonna care about/that are one-offs] Overall, though, its a show thats not to be missed! I know you guys are gonna love it the further along you get [and its really only the first season/part of 2 that has you bouncing around, if you go chronological. Everything after can be taken in order. I think they caught on that it was making things hard to follow, hah]

Some people don't like animated content because big studios treat it as a genre instead of a medium, which is one of the reasons I'm making my movies full of profanity and violence animated. I also always found it really strange how Ziro is supposed to be Jabba's uncle. Ziro is so immature, there's no way he's older than Jabba lol

Manuel Enrico Sison

You know, the Rebels Series is definitely something I wanted to get into for a long time but I heard that Clone Wars was a prereq, so it's nice to actually watch the Clone Wars through these

Deadpool

Actually Dave Filoni was one of the main writers and director of the show and was even a executive producer for the final season while George Lucas was the executive producer for seasons 1-6
