Formally announcing to everyone here that Vol. 1 of Nix of Nothing is being crowdfunded right now over on Kickstarter!

It's been forever since the last time I had a book printed, and this will be the first time that it's not just myself paying a print shop to assemble a book for me! The team at Hiveworks is doing all the behind the scenes stuff for me on the book, shipping, and crowdfunding.

I've been working for a long time to try and get another book printed, and it's finally here! But there's still a long ways to go for it to get funded properly, so any support, financially, or just spreading the word about it, would be very helpful. And a successful campaign would ensure the future of this series.

Thanks everyone who has been reading this series so far! I can't wait to work on more of it and help it get bigger and better!

Sardines are us

not sure about this. i bought the physical supernormal step books, but they're incomplete because the finale was never printed (that i'm aware). is this this going to happen again?

Essentially the story goes: I was printing Supernormal Step books out of my own pocket and hoping people would buy them. People did not buy them and doing all the printing and shipping myself was too much for me to handle. Likely another thing that caused my mental state to not be able to keep doing Supernormal Step as long as I liked. So before the series ended I started looking into getting people to help me with books. I tried working for years to get the rest of Supernormal Step in print with outside help. But difficulties in getting this going caused many many delays, at one point the suggestion of switching to getting Speak of the Devil in print was brought up and I rejected it, telling the people helping me "No, I need to get Supernormal Step in print so it will be complete" Delays continued, nothing was getting accomplished. Finally in 2023 they said everything was settled and we could start if I wanted. At that point I was given the options to try and sell a Supernormal Step omnibus (the entire story in two super thick volumes). But I didn't think that would be a good choice, and asked if these efforts could be put into making a Nix book instead, so I could have a print book of a comic I'm currently trying to get attention for. Sorry if this isn't satisfactory, but it's been a real pain to even get one book printed with help. And I needed to focus on my current work. Edit: I realized this doesn't actually answer your question, so to try and bring it back to the issue: Everything that got in the way before is cleared up now and this past year of getting the Nix book done has been the easiest year of it so far. I'm confident that I will be able to continue to get help with further Nix books as everyone is very excited to be helping me with it at this point.
