A couple of things to go through; first off, the Patron Reward Stream will be running this Saturday, 17th of Feb, at the usual time of between 2200 and 2300 GMT.

Second, I'm going to be switching the monthly poll to an off-site location, so that I can set up instant runoff/ranked choice voting. Anyone who doesn't know what that is, check out the explanation at the bottom of the post.

Lastly, there's only one suggestion up on the board this month! Remember, if there's only one suggestion, it'll win by default, so don't forget to submit.

So, IRV/RCV. Basically, it's a means of voting where, instead of picking one (or more) options and having your whole vote count to them, each voter will rank as many or as few options as they wish, from first pick to last pick. If, come the end of the poll, no one option has more than 50% of voters putting it as their number 1 choice, the option with the lowest number of 1st choice votes is discarded. Anyone who put the discarded option as their 1st choice will instead have their vote go towards their 2nd choice. If there still isn't an overall winner, the next lowest is knocked off, et cetera. Hopefully this will make for a fairer vote and avoid ties such as have come up before.
