NEW Rewards system stuff!! PLEASE READ if you are signed up for tier 2 or higher! (Patreon)

I mentioned a bit ago that the rewards system will be changing because I have been behind for like a whole year!! This is because I never ever expected to have so many adoring patrons, I REALLY grateful for that! But sadly it has also caused some problems.

Hopefully this solution will give me some more wriggle room and keep everyone happy!

Starting in October there will be a limit to how many rewards I will take each month!

I will make an update post every week to show everyone what the current situation looks like.

How will the limit be measured?

It will not be based on the number of rewards, but rather the workload. Also, with some flexibility here and there. Essentially I just need to give myself the option to put the stopper in for reward requests, as I tend to get between 15-20/month nowadays. I will never catch up at that rate! It's a problem I'm grateful to have, but still a problem 😭

Rewards all have a $$ and an effort value that are pretty comparable! so I will be limiting the rewards I do to about $200/month. It doesn't seem a lot typing it here, but if I'm left with lots of free time after the first month I might raise the limit! This is really just a test.

How will you decide who gets a reward?

It's first come, first serve, babies.

NOW! I know that isn't super fair, so if I see someone trying for more than one month in a row trying to get in and they're not fast enough, I'll put them in the top of the next month. If someone is always first in line, I might make them take a break to make room for others.

The goal is that everyone gets what they want

You can save up your smaller rewards to get bigger rewards!

Will you be sad if you miss out on an opportunity to get a reward? You shouldn't be, because if you save up for next month you'll be able to get something fancier! You can save up to $60 to spend at once, it doesn't get any fancier. If you're in the $60 tier and you would rather save up, I encourage you to lower your pledge and save up over a couple months. Relax!

If you want to stay, that's totally fine! Just know that there is no guarantee of getting a reward every month. Instead, please consider lowering your tier and saving up a lower tier's rewards to get that $60 one.

Hey wait! I have a ton of rewards saved up, will I be able to use them?

I will consider it a special case if you have a whole lot of valuable rewards saved up and we can bend the rules a little here and there. There ARE a few of you who fall into this category.
