The question why Martin decided to show his collection in the centre of Paris striked in me another idea. What if it sort of plays upon the role of the french revolution in the 18th century? The panniers added to the clothing which where worn in the 18th century and the use of the color red (phrygian cap, which was worn by the revolutionaries of that time) support this idea in a way. To start a revolution in a system (or in the fashion industry ;)), the best way to do it is to start it there, where it is concentrated the most. For fashion, it is of course in the middle of Paris. Together with your analysis, that mens clothing is worn on women and to "wash of the sexiness" of the color red that always got presented as a sexy color in the fashion industry, it is maybe his take to make a revolution in favor to the woman?? Just an idea :)
