And here we see why sanemi (wind hashira) could not believe in nezuko. Cause if his mother, the strongest most caring and protective person he had ever known, couldn't stop herself from killing the very children she protected her whole life, why would a little girl be trusted to protect and not kill anyone? Also it should be mentioned that nezuko isn't completely in control either, as it took 2 years of constant brainwashing till she was deemed safe, and in season 2 she still showed that she might attack and kill humans

Love my boy Sanemi.. This backstory is hard to watch because of how much pain he must've gone through .He was a sweet kid. Can't wait to see him in action. Sanemi and Muichiro are one of my favs
