The Last Full Measure- Thank you so very much for your beautiful reaction to such a beautiful and powerful movie, based on a true story that I love so very much, my dear friend! I truly loved watching this incredible movie again with you, and I truly enjoyed watching your reaction for it. I am so grateful to you for reacting to this powerful movie for me. Thank you, Morgan! Personally, I do not know anyone who has ever fought in the Vietnam War, nor do I personally know any men and women who have fought within the wars from our history. However, I have a deep admiration for all of the men and women who do honor us and our country by fighting for us. And I have a deep love of history, and learning about the events that have helped shape us. Not just as Americans, but as people throughout all history. The Last Full Measure shows us the power of what one man... one person can really do. And not just as a soldier, but all of us no matter who we are. Our choices can affect so many people. And it breaks my heart to see how frightening and tragic the world has become today. Movies such as The Last Full Measure inspires me, and brings me hope every time I watch them. Every time I watch this movie. So, thank you once more, dear friends!! I am so grateful that I could introduce this movie to you. As well as try to introduce it to as many people as I can. These men deserve to have their stories told. William Hart Pittsenbarger deserved to have his story told. William Hart Pittsenbarger is a true hero, and he's someone I've grown to deeply admire very much, ever since I got to know who he is from this movie, as well as from doing more research about this brave man. And I really love Jeremy Irvine as an actor upon seeing how beautifully he plays the role of this American hero within The Last Full Measure. Abraham Lincoln said that all the brave men and women who have fought and died like William H. Pittsenbarger, gave what he called their last full measure... Hence the reason for why this movie is named such as it is. Such a powerful and beautiful quote and title for such an incredible movie. And now... Everyone's acting throughout this movie is absolutely phenomenal from top to bottom. Sebastian Stan is sensational!!! I've always absolutely loved him as Bucky Barnes/the Winter Soldier within the Captain America movies, a few of the Avengers movies, and within the Marvel TV series... The Falcon and the Winter Solider, as well as in a few other movies and a few shows too. However, his acting here in The Last Full Measure has made me come to love him all the more. And his role in this movie is why he's very quickly risen up to become one of my all time favorite actors. I just absolutely love him as an actor. And seeing his real life character... Scott Huffman, go from being a cocky, couldn't care less man who was more concerned about his own career inside the Pentagon, to seeing him grow to become a true man of honor, valor, compassion, and a man who comes to fight for these men seeking to honor the heroic soldier who saved so many lives in Vietnam, is so beautiful and just incredible. He is also a man I've grown to admire very deeply as well. And Sebastian Stan is just phenomenal. I love him in this role of Scott Huffman. And of course... The rest of the cast all throughout this movie is phenomenal too. I absolutely love Christopher Plummer as Pitt's father, as well as Ed Harris, Samuel L. Jackson, William Hurt, Linus Roache, Amy Madigan, as well as each of the rest of the real men and women who show Scott Huffman the hero William Hart Pittsenbarger truly was. I love Diane Ladd as Pittsenbarger's mother, Peter Fonda as the soldier with such severe PTSD, and John Savage as the former soldier living in Vietnam who built a place of serenity in the very place where one of the bloodiest battles of the war took place to help offer peace and provide a peaceful place for soldiers to come to talk to him so they too can find peace. And I love the actors playing the younger versions of these men throughout this movie as well. And then... I love the actress playing Scott's wife, Alison Sudol, who is known for playing Queenie within the Fantastic Beasts movies. I love her support, and especially the strength she gives to her husband as he works so hard to do the right thing for these men who are so desperately fighting to honor their fallen friend. And Scott's son is a sweet kid as well. And finally... while his character makes us angry just as he is meant to, I really love actor, Bradley Whitford, who plays the man who threatens Scott and his career for continuing to fight for Pittsenbarger and these men. Bradley Whitford is a fantastic actor I love in a number of movies and shows too. I cannot say enough about the stellar acting throughout this movie Just absolutely phenomenal! And during the roll of the credits, I absolutely love seeing the interviews with the actual surviving men who fought in Vietnam and who were witnesses to William Pittsenbarger's heroism are shown. Also... these men are actually mixed in among the crowd of people in the ending of this movie as Pitts is awarded the Medal of Honor. They are some of the first men to be asked to stand up, after Samuel L. Jackson, Ed Harris, Peter Fonda, and William Hurt stand up. How amazing! You certainly come to see that all seen throughout this powerful movie is in fact... pretty darn accurate to the true story. So incredible! I really love the musical score, as well as the cinematography, and how this movie is written, as we flawlessly transition between the present day events and the past events of the tragic and heartbreaking Vietnam War. As for my favorite scenes throughout this movie... In all honesty, it's impossible for me to choose any one moment or scene that stands out to me more than any others. In all honesty, I have so many favorite scenes and moments. I love the entire scene when we see Scott Huffman break down and finally let out his true emotions while sitting inside the sanctuary in Vietnam. I love the first moment when we see Pitts lower himself down amongst the fighting despite the bullets flying all around him. I love the very ending when everyone stands to be honored and as Pitts is finally awarded the Medal of Honor he deserves. I love it when Linus Roache's character encourages the original men fighting to get the medal of honor for Pitts to stand during the ceremony, as well as everyone else who have moved by Pitts' heroism. I love the moment between Scott Huffman and William Hurt's character in front of the Vietnam War Memorial as Scott helps this man to let go of his guilt and tells him that he can help him by taking some of his burden on himself, and talks to Tully about his father leaving him when he was only five years old too. I love the scene where Ed Harris's character tells Scott about Pitts' letter that he never could deliver to the woman who was Pitts' girlfriend, and like a daughter to his parents. I love the moment where Scott's wife gives Scott the courage to keep fighting for these men in spite of the great risk of losing his job and career, and I love the moments in the very ending when Pittsenbarger's father, and the soldiers come to Scott to thank him for all he does for them throughout these events. So many favorite scenes and moments!! This movie truly is truly beautiful. The acting is absolutely phenomenal, and the directing is fantastic. I am so happy that I could recommend this movie for you both to watch and enjoy, my friends. The Last Full Measure makes me cry more than I've cried in any movie, but I absolutely love it! And as hard as it is to cry so hard and so much throughout one movie, even when some of the tears come from a place of happiness, it's the kind of crying that truly shows the mark of a phenomenal movie. And while I know that sharing your emotions with those of us watching your reactions to this movie, and other tear-jerking movies too, can be very difficult, I truly appreciate that you allow us to see your emotions. So, thank you so very much once again for reacting to The Last Full Measure for me, Morgan!! I truly enjoy each of your reaction for the movies I enjoy and love.
