Helge's medallion is nothing to do with the St Christopher, its a red cord with a 1986 penny on it, and has only ever been associated with Helge thru the 3 seasons. The St Christopher has never been in his possession

The family trees need to exist the same in both timelines as they are entwined with the Origin who's born of both world's Nielson family trees. Charlotte, Francesca and Elizabeth need to exist, so Elizabeth needs to be set up with Noah to start that loop of Charlotte / Elizabeth for infinity. Eva was effectively 'forcing' all the gaps to replicate the family tree from the other world. Hannah was pregnant to Ulrich in the Eva timeline, and seems to have miscarried at the end of that episode. In the other timeline she was in the 50s pregnant with 50s Egon's child. Won't say any more about why Egon was there, that's up for you to put together, but in general the people are going back to keep Eva world's family trees matching the Adam world to ensure the Origin is born.
