I'm not saying it's right, but I think Rachel did it less out of spite, and more out of insecurity. She's bothered by the Santana part because she sees Santana as way more popular, way prettier, and someone who's bullied her for years, so the fact that he chose her to sleep with probably makes her feel really bad about herself. I don't agree with her, but I get where she's coming from. Maybe partly cause I just don't like Santana's character at all (although her voice is amazing)
