This is such a great episode! I love getting the Matthew background a little. And that is the brother that died. It''s kinda cool to get to see him. I think it was just those three. The brother must have been about 15 or so when he died. Seeing Bash meet the Cuthberts is good. And knocking Billy out was technically his fault, but I think he was getting cues from Gilbert whistling like he did in the beginning, and when Billy whistled, he thought it was time to bring down the lightning bolt, because he doesn't know the cues or timing of the show. It was a total accident, and he shouldn't have been blamed. Also, fun fact: the guy Matthew brings to the show originally played John Blythe (Gilbert's father) in an older version of Anne of Green Gables. Which makes the compliment to Marilla pretty neat (since their characters dated). And they did have a Christmas episode last year, when they were trying to pay the bank back. This season's about a year later, but the show does jump around a lot. I watch Anne's hair for the rest of the season, it kinda gives you a sense how much time has passed between episodes. Anyway, great reaction! Can't wait for the next one!
