Good reaction hope you enjoy the ride. They don't do the best job explaining the timeline most people get confused but you did get it, the first scene is a bit further in the future than the present time. And yeah the lyrics are pretty important but it can be a bit tough to read them alongside the action and dialogue. Luckily a good chunk of the songs that are sung in the battles are played multiple times so a bit easier to pick up on the lyrics.
