This was the last episode of the Alabasta Saga – the second saga of One Piece (the first is the entire East Blue). The third saga begins with episode 144 (or the end of 143). The episodes before are all filler so you can enjoy it without being wary of hints and developments. If you want now you can watch the current opening because the spoiler there is Nico Robin as a crew member. Opening 4 later is safe from the start so until episode 207 (where the really spoilerish opening 5 begins) you can't be spoiled by an opening. How Pell survived is discussed until today. Most people in the community were not happy that he is alive after his sacrifice because they thought it lowered the stakes too much.

Thanks for the info but I will keep skipping the openings and then most likely make a video reacting to all of them :) Also please avoid talking about what happens in the next episodes, I don't like hints about it, even if they are not spoilers :)
