At this point we can all safely agree that I have absolutely no idea what the hell I am doing.

I created a gloss mask to make her claws, eyes, nose and whiskers shiny (which I also recycled as emission mask), and a bump map to give her just a little hint of fur. The latter is pointless because Blender's output looks strangely grainy - I'll investigate why this is happening, I'm sure it's a rookie mistake. Also, the emission mask may be making her fur glow a bit, but I needed her eyes not to receive the shadow of her eyelids - or her pupils!. Also, her eyes refuse to be shiny and I have no idea why. This whole node business is absolute madness to me.

Other than that, I can now see that some bits look quite blocky, but changing them would require me to redo the texture map completely, unless I'm really careful. Either way, since this is pretty much just a practice exercise, unless more experienced Blender users would be so kind to give me hints to fix this model or advice for future ones, I believe we're ready to start giving this lass a skeleton.
