Story I got on Jonathan Pollard was that he sold US intel secrets to Israel for money and "our ally" traded the info to the Soviet Union to get them to allow more Jews to leave during the "Save Soviet Jewry" scam of the early 1980's. This info led to the "disappearance" of US "assets" in Russia, which is why CIA chiefs were so adamantly against Pollard's release.
