I lived in Switzerland for four years and would routinely come across bunkers in the mountains and even around Zurich. Theres a big one in the hill next to Zurich only accesible by train for higher up people

Insane coincidence happened and thought I’d share. Since these episodes, I’ve been wanting to get into Vollmann, but couldn’t decide which book. Happened to vacation in Kauai this week and came across a copy of “The Atlas” in a free book library first book when I opened the little doors. Was such a meant to be moment.
